Happy birthday Michael Jackson!
Here’s one for the King of Pop on what would have been his 53rd birthday:

Eudora Welty believed that a novelist had a responsibility to bring alive both the mystery of humankind and the darkness. That’s exactly what she does in this story: As you read the closing line, you know she has captured life in Mississippi as it existed then, as well as the prevailing cultural mindset. The Help does the same thing, but with few hints of darkness. Whether or not you liked The Help’s optimistic tone, read “Where Is the Voice Coming From?” to fill in a piece of the story that’s missing from the minute the credits begin to roll.

    iPhone 5 Pre-Orders Start September 30 -- On Sale October 7

    parislemon:

This sounds about right to me. 9to5 Mac has the story today, but TiPb called it last week.

For those keeping score at home, this means a September unveiling event and an October launch. Contrary to some nonsense you may have heard.

As always, these things are subject to last minute changes, but this is the plan right now.

What If Mario Jumped To The iPhone?

    parislemon:

If Nintendo were to do this, their hardware business would effectively be done.

BUT, the software sales would be beyond massive. How many copies of Mario and Zelda would Nintendo sell on the iPhone? What about the iPad? What about Apple TV?

Nintendo is in the unique position where they could certainly have leverage to strike a special deal with Apple here. The end result could be game-changing.

    1 Up.

    Please make it happen

I wish I was able to describe myself, but I really can't. I am many things but let me start here; Lover of God, A Real Man, Family man, Artist, respecter of all women, Lover first but defends what is right, Meek but no push over, and a all around HOT MESS. Real talk is all you will ever get from me. Real talk.
